Brief description of the research topic:
Our group as only one in Poland works on methodological aspects of NMR spectroscopy. The aim of this work is faster and more accurate determination of structurally important NMR parameters, and their application in chemistry and biochemistry. Recently we focus on the development of new approaches for acquisition of multidimensional NMR spectra necessary in the studies of biomolecules. Most important topics include: development of new pulse sequences for faster or more accurate determination of spectral parameters, methods of fast acquisition of multidimensional spectra, determination of scalar and residual dipolar couplings, chiral recognition. Our Group take care and employs in scientific works spectrometers NMR 600 i 800 MHz localized in CNBCh. Their unique in Poland configuration enables all possible modern NMR experiments in liquids and solids in chemistry and biochemistry. Starting from 2018 our group employs fully functional biochemical laboratory specialized in expression, purification, and investigation of isotopically labelled proteins. This enables synthesis of proteins with any possible labelling scheme using 2H, 13C i 15N.
